Omnia Foundation celebrates positive Ofsted inspection and expansion to 42 places
Omnia Foundation is celebrating a positive Ofsted inspection alongside approval from the Department for Education (DfE) to increase the capacity of its specialist school in Rayleigh from 30 to 42 pupils.
The school was found to be meeting the Expected Standard across all six areas assessed, with safeguarding standards also met. Inspectors recognised the positive relationships between pupils and staff, the individual support provided to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, and the school’s work to prepare young people for adulthood.
The outcome comes at an exciting time for Omnia Foundation. Having reached its approved capacity of 30 pupils during the 2025/26 academic year, the DfE has now approved an increase to 42 places, enabling the school to respond to continued demand for its specialist provision in Essex.
The Foundation also celebrated strong outcomes for its oldest pupils this summer, with 100% of its nine Year 11 leavers progressing to positive destinations in further education, training or employment.
Omnia Foundation supports young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and autism, all of whom have previously experienced significant barriers to engaging successfully with education. Its approach combines academic learning with practical experiences, personal development and preparation for adulthood.
David Kreyling, Proprietor of Omnia Foundation, said:
“We are incredibly proud of our Ofsted outcome. It reflects the commitment of our staff and the progress Omnia Foundation has made, but most importantly it recognises the work taking place every day to help our young people re-engage with education and look positively towards their futures.
“Being full at 30 places last academic year demonstrated the demand for our provision, and the DfE’s approval to increase our capacity to 42 means we can now provide that opportunity to more young people.
“As we grow, we are determined to retain what makes Omnia Foundation unique – knowing our pupils as individuals, understanding the barriers they may have faced and creating an environment in which they can develop the confidence, skills and qualifications they need for their next steps. The OMNIA values provide the framework and support for success.
“To see every one of our nine Year 11 leavers progress to a positive destination this year is something we are particularly proud of, it’s an amazing achievement for our pupils. Ultimately, that is what our work is about – helping young people recognise what they are capable of and preparing them successfully for life beyond Omnia Foundation. We do not label any pupil; we take the time to build positive relationships to create success for all”
The increase to 42 places marks the next stage in Omnia Foundation’s development, allowing the school to support more young people while maintaining the individualised approach at the heart of its provision.
